The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Secretary General (SG) Mpho Balopi is expected to hand his resignation from the party position anytime.

This follows his immediate resignation as a cabinet minister this morning. Balopi and President Mokgweetsi Masisi have not been in good terms lately. Masisi had even informed some party elders as well as other cabinet members about the fallout.

Balopi will become just an ordinary Member of Parliament for Gaborone North.
