Bakgatla shy away from burying in homesteads?

It has been three years since Bakgatla paramount chief Kgafela Kgafela made an announcement that his tribe were free to bury their dead inside their homesteads.

Although when the idea was first conceived most Bakgatla sounded enthusiastic and welcomed it for various reasons only a few are now showing interest in practising it.

In Modipane, for instance, only a few have been buried in their yards while the majority of families still prefer to use cemeteries.
