Certain Bakgatla royals who are on the government payroll are yet to be interdicted and are still at work.

Among them is the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Kgosi Mothibe Linchwe, who is facing criminal charges in relation to the destruction of the Mascom Tower in Mochudi in 2009.

In an interview, the Deputy Director of Tribal Administration, Tumelo Seboko, said appropriate steps will be taken as soon as the Directorate on Public Prosecutions (DPP) formally approached his office. "The reason we have not rushed to interdict them is that we have not been formally informed by DPP," Kgosi Tumelo said, adding that according to procedure, Kgosi Mothibe and his co-accused will be suspended from duty as soon as Tribal Administration was informed of the charges against them.
