Bakgatla, govt trade spats over vet gate affair

The commissioner of police, Thebeyame Tsimako, has declined to comment on Wednesday's state media reports that Kgosi Kgafela of Bakgatla and his entourage would not submit to a routine police search at Makalamabedi veterinary control gate on October 26.

Tsimako only confirmed that the police had such a case in their record and occurrence book but would not be drawn on why it took 21 days before the incident was shared with the public. 

No charges will be preferred against anyone from the incident, Tsimako also confirmed.
