B-FAR said in a statement that they were particularly concerned that the majority of the economically disadvantaged were youth, while those who in control of the bulk of the economy were an older adult minority, and generally of non-indigenous origin.
“As shown by the World Economic Forum research, the gap between the rich and the poor in our country has not only been sustained for a long period of time, but it has actually continued to grow. This literally means that the difficult economic situation of the majority of Batswana has deteriorated further, while the super-rich have become ultra-rich,” B-FAR stated.
