Armed police shut down Boseto Mine

Following a meeting between the Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources and officials of the Botswana Mine Workers Union (BMWU), Boseto Mine was shut down by armed police last week, with 422 employees forced into buses

The minister had promised to give us the government’s intervention measures after he had discussed the problem with Cabinet. We are still waiting for your feedback to date.
