The Alliance for Progressives (AP) members in the Tswapong North constituency have threatened to go independent for the General Election, if the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) position to allocate the area to Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) stands.

For example, David Morewagole, who contested as an AP candidate for the last polls, feels that the party was not backing in their fight to contest the constituency under the UDC ticket.

He said the rigid stance has forced members to consider going against the party.
