Ants Keep Khama Away From State House

The minister for Defense, Justice and security Dikgakgamatso Seretse says the anticipated completion of State House in October last year was delayed by problematic ants.

Seretse said in Parliament last week that work was delayed due to the discovery of unforeseen problems such as ants on the roof that necessitated complete re-roofing of the building. The project is now expected to be completed in March.

Meanwhile the old Serious Crime Squad offices are being converted into army barracks to provide accommodation for the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) sentry at State House, according to the Minister.
