Anti-corruption agents pounce on lawyer

Francistown lawyer Lyndon Mothusi is languishing in custody after agents of the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crimes (DCEC) arrested him on Monday.

The arrest followed a warrant issued by Deputy Registrar and Master of the High Court Nelson Bopa, a former magistrate who presided over Mothusi's fraud case.  Mothusi and fellow lawyer Hebert Sikhakhane are on trial for fraudulently obtaining over P850,000 in 2003.

After several postponements, Bopa was supposed to deliver a judgment on Monday but Mothusi was not around hence a warrant for his arrest was issued.
