Another group of security men on trial for murder

A week after the High Court jailed four intelligence operatives for the murder of John Kalafatis, another group of state security officers will be in the dock today in connection with the killing of a suspect.

Police officers, Modiredi Modise, Montshwari Ramatebele, Loeto Morwaagae and Gontse Mangundu have been charged with the murder of David Mongae, a suspect they were investigating for stock-theft.

At the time of the death, the policemen were attached to the Stock Theft Unit. But now Modise is at Boatlaname Customary Court, Ramatebele is based at Thamaga Customary Court, Morwaagae is a policeman at Kumakwane while Gontse Mangundu is serving at Old Molepolole Police Camp.
