Another BDF soldier commits suicide in Mozambique

Botswana Defence Force (BDF) has announced the death of yet another soldier deployed at the turbulent Cabo Delgado Province in a press statement issued today.

"The BDF wishes to inform members of the public about the unfortunate incident in which a member of the BDF Contingent deployed in the Cabo Delgado Province of the Republic of Mozambique committed suicide this morning at around 1120hrs," reads a press statement from the army headquarters in Gaborone.

The press statement further reads that Investigations to establish circumstances surrounding the incident are on-going.

"While the BDF conveys its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the people of the Republic of Botswana, it withholds the names of the deceased to allow the family the space to privately mourn during this difficult time," the army statements explained.
