An injustice finally corrected

The Court of Appeal last week pronounced a landmark judgement with far reaching consequences for family law and the processes around deceased estate settlements.

Judges Legwaila, Lesetedi and Howie ruled that the children of a deceased man had legal rights to his estate, despite the fact that he was not married to their mother.
