Bob Marley fans must have had in mind the song he sang, Ambush in the night, after he and his family were shot at while rehearsing at his 56 Hope Road house on the eve of a free-entry-for-all concert at Kingston's National Heroes Park billed for December 5, 1976.

Woken up by a streak of light into the bedroom only to raise a head and see an intruder push in through the door, kitchen knife in hand, marked the first and ultimate ambush for one who is still green, break-ins wise.
