Ambassador Seloma presents cholera aid in Zim

HARARE: Botswana has donated 3,7 tonnes of water purification chemicals to Zimbabwe to help the neighbouring country combat a cholera epidemic that has killed nearby 2 000 people in five months.

The donation was made in response to an appeal by SADC late December to the regional bloc's members to extend humanitarian assistance to Zimbabwe, a fellow SADC member.

Botswana's Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Pelokgale Seloma, handed the chemicals over to Zimbabwe's Minister of State for Policy Implementation, Webster Shamu, during a brief ceremony here last week.
