Alleged thief pleads 'not guilty'

FRANCISTOWN: An unemployed teenage boy of Tonota on Friday pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts of house break-in and stealing from dwelling houses.

Eighteen year old Othusitse Bless Moepeng aiiegedly broke into six different houses and stole household items worth close to P20 000.

All the crimes were committed in Tonota in 10 months. On the first and second counts, on 19 August 2008, Moepeng broke into Mpiwa Bathoni's dwelling house and stole household cleaning items, a bathroom mirror, sugar basins and pots.
