All is not well in journalism with ICTs

The noble profession of journalism has received Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) with mixed feelings, on one hand as an enabling tool yet on the other as an impediment to the operations of a journalist, JERRY BUNGU looks at the profession and its operations in the ICT era

While the  new world order demands that everyone should be averse to the use Information Communication Technologies (ICTs), the journalism profession has found it to be a blessing in disguise when it comes to day to day operations of a journalist, especially on the international arena.

It is good that ICTs have enabled journalists to file stories as instant as possible and contact interviews from anywhere in the world using cellphones, video/tele-conferencing, skyping, emails and a whole array of technologies that one can think of these days.
