'Agent provocateur' assaulted?

A 55-year-old Botswana Congress Party (BCP) council candidate allegedly assaulted a 59-year old Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) member at Nswazwi Village over the weekend.

According to the Divisional Commander North, Senior Assistant Commissioner Oreeditse Mautle, the BDP member, Bontsi Stephen Nthaba, reported the alleged assault to Tutume Police Station.

Mautle says according to the charge sheet, the BCP council candidate Israel Jesi was complaining of being disturbed by the BDP member at a rally after a BCP motorcade.
