AG handles P11m Kalafatis' demand

The Attorney General's (AG) office is handling the recent letter of demand by lawyers representing Joseph Piet, the witness to John Kalafatis fatal shooting.

Piet is demanding P11million compensation from the government and Molokomme has said she has received the demand letter. He was in the front seat when Kalafatis was gunned down, allegedly by security operatives in Gaborone two months ago. In the driver's seat was Ray Gare, another Gaborone resident.

Last week Gabriel Kanjabanga, acting for Piet, delivered a letter of demand to the Attorney General's Chambers indicating that as a result of the Kalafatis murder, his client suffered a number of injuries.
