Accident survivor relives experiences

In a heart wrenching epilogue Mokgethi Magapa, relived his experience of being a road accident survivor at the launch of the UN Global Road Safety Week yesterday.

Speaking at the Children's Traffic School, he said that about three years ago, everything was going well for him until the accident. He was just about to get married and to celebrate his son's first birthday.

But all these were interrupted when he was involved in an accident near Mokolodi on his way from South Africa. "We were returning from South Africa when we were hit by a truck that had veered off after hitting an animal and my fiance'e passed on. On the day when we would have been celebrating my son's birthday, we were burying his mother," he said emotionally.
