Access road to Dikgatlhong Dam site holding back progress

ROBELELA: There are fears that completion of the access road to the Dikgatlhong Dam will so delayed that even the dam will be finished ahead of it.

Construction of the 43-kilometre access road between Mmadinare and Robelela began in May last year, but only heaps of soil and earthworks are so far visible on the dusty and rough terrain in the approaches to the dam site.

During a kgotla meeting addressed by the Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources in Robelela last Wednesday, people complained that there was little progress on the project.
