The honorees Mositi Mogotsi and Lerato Sylvia Moalosi were beside themselves with joy as they received their awards at a glittering prize giving ceremony organised by ABM University College. The third, Tshepiso Mosimanewathebe, could not attend the ceremony, but the elation of his mother more than compensated for his absence. The Member of Parliament for Francistown South Khumongwana Maoto presented the awards.

Mosimanewathebe won himself a one-year scholarship to pursue a diploma course with ABM Francistown. His mother accepted the award on his behalf. Mositi Mogotsi attracted the Top Paper Prize for Personnel Administration, which carries a cash award of 100 pounds (approximately P1,500) and a certificate. Mogotsi passed her course with a distinction.
