A mother still waits for justice

FRANCISTOWN: The mother of Lesego Phenyego, the 13-year old boy who was murdered in mysterious circumstances four years ago, is determined to pursue justice in honour of the memory of her son.

Lillian Phenyego has always entreated God for  "the killers of my son to be brought to book". And far from declaring it a cold case, the police say they are still working hard to bring the depraved culprits to justice. 

Officer Commanding Number 1 District, senior superintendent Alakanani Makobo, says there is no statute of limitation on murder. "If anything comes to light, the case resumes," Makobo told Mmegi yesterday.
