A day in the bush for young farmers

Giving up on life's comforts has not been too difficult for four young farmers who are hopeful that hard times will soon pass when they start making a profit from the land they work on daily.

The youthful farmers, Motswagole Mogare, Kabelo Mogare, Gosiame Molatlhegi and Mpho Mpofu live on their own small holding called Heinz Farm in Tsholwane near Pilikwe and have proved to be enterprising. For the four farmers a typical day starts at 6 am and ends at 6 pm.

"The first thing we do when we wake up is to boil water for cooking soft porridge and bathing and soon after eating and bathing, we go work and spend the whole day there," says Kabelo Mogare.
