60 Zimbos Netted In 'Operation Clean-up Masimo'

RAMOTSWA: Scores of BaLete on Thursday joined in a special police operation to flush out illegal immigrants, who are blamed for wide-ranging crimes, from their farmlands.

During what was code-named Operation Clean-up Masimo,  77 immigrants of Zimbabwean origin - 12 of them women - were rounded up. A subsequent sreening showed 60 to be illegal immigrants.

At the time of going to press, Superintendent Thito Freeman of Ramotswa Police Station said the illegals were to be repatriated.
