A 21-year-old man killed his 49-year- old uncle on Christmas Day in Boseja ward.
According to Mochudi Police Station Commander, Superintendent, Joel Masilo, it is alleged that the accused beat his uncle on the head with a metal object, after he came home late that night drunk and harrased the family. He said the family told the police that the deceased used to harass them when drunk.
"We took the deceased to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His nephew is in police custody where he is helping the police with investigations. He has appeared before court for mention on December 28, 2022," he said
Meanwhile, he said there was also a hit and run incident in Rasesa where a 48 years old man lost his life late at night on the same day. The driver was said to have run away after the incident and later handed himself to the police. He is also helping the police with investigations, but is currently on bail.
