It is not every day that you hear a spoken word artist firmly declare their awesome-NESS by hosting a solo show where majority of their material has never been heard.

As if there are not enough nerves with listening sessions: paying for free booze and a venue although you know that chances are only 20% of those attending your session will be there for you and not the freebies, but before I digress let me arrive to my point: big up Mandisa Mabuthoe. You are awesome, with or without the upcoming project. If you don’t know Mandisa Mabuthoe and you have been living in this country for the past five years, aaaand you claim to be interested in the arts.

Mandisa is a symbol of literary and performance artistry, a poet and vocalist has performed in South Africa, Australia and Zimbabwe almost every year. She takes a piece of Botswana to all these countries.
