Young Africa workshop attracted a good number of young people

A new non-governmental organisation, Young Africa Botswana, in partnership with Thapong Visual Art Centre, on Saturday announced its arrival in Botswana with a workshop targeting young people under the banner ‘Shine Arts and Crafts Festival’.

Organisers of the event, Jelena Mitrovic and Maarten Weers were visibly elated at the support and the attendance of young people from Gaborone. “About 60 youngsters came through to the project today and we hope there will be more next weekend,” Weers said.

The organisers said the event attracted youngsters with various talents in art, music, poetry and stand up comedy.
