There is always a first time for everything but when someone suggests that one does something out of one’s comfort zone there is always that hesitation. But a 24-year-old beautiful girl who works as a teller at Botswana Building Society (BBS) was not afraid to try her luck at the recent Miss Interbank 2016 pageant when her colleagues encouraged her to. Mmegi Staffer MOMPATI TLHANKANE caught up with Mphoentle Motswagae after her crowning during the weekend.

Showbiz: Tell us how you arrived at this point.

Mpho: My colleagues encouraged me to join because they believed I had potential, they pushed me to it and I ended up doing it. I was nervous and very scared because it was my first pageant and I didn’t know how the crowd was going to react. There were so many expectations from my bank, because I was the only representative there and most banks had two contestants.
