In what was supposed to be a show that celebrates Botswana’s 50 years of independence, the organisers of the Botswana 50th Pre Celebration failed to put the patriotic theme across.

The show, dubbed Botswana 50th Pre Celebration bash, was put together around the idea of building excitement ahead of the national celebrations in September. The presence of the SA flag on stage on Saturday, was seen as a contradiction by some revellers who came to support the event. The show headliner, South African Hip Hop giant, AKA, brought his country’s flag on stage during his performance at a show that was intended to promote Botswana. The show was held at Serokolwane Farms during Easter holidays.
