Friday saw different poets all gathered under one roof to showcase their gifts of playing with words.

The event which was held at the University of Botswana (UB) Library auditorium attracted quite a large crowd that came to witness the 2nd multilingualism and poetry festival. Kick starting the programme was the sounds of Quaint who prides himself  with mastering Slam Poetry. The young man who always has a way of grabbing the audience's attention did not disappoint once again when he performed his piece about issues that affect people like money.

Although other poets came and gave their meaningful yet witty poems, the poet who stole the lime light mostly was 14 year old girl who recited poems entitled Time and Who we are. Jeanette Matlhau who is currently doing her form2 at Tlogatloga secondary school later told Showtime that she has been practising her craft since she was 11 years old. "I fell in love with poetry while I was still in primary, I see it as a place where I can be myself and express my feelings to the world," she said.
