The garbage fashion show where aspiring beauty queens showcase their designer, innovative and creative skills dubbed Trashion Show is back.

In an interview with Arts & Culture, Tlhatlogo Sera Madiba, who is the director of Miss Hope pageant, said the event features a showcase of fashion from recycled material designs and ramp walking by contestants to promote waste material recycling, creative thinking and problem solving.

She added that it included talent session as a way of emphasising the point of having a piece of mind executing one’s skill while saving the planet. “Trashion Show calls for upcoming designers to showcase their designs at the event unlike other years where only contestants designed their clothes. This year, contestants design their trash attire and called for designers to showcase their signature design.
