Mmegi Staffer MOMPATI TLHANKANE met with a mural artist who burnt his right hand at the age of two and the same hand later became his source of income, a lifeline.

Mpho Kgopiso has vivid images of what happened that fateful day but just like any other child of his age, his parents later told him everything about the accident.

When Arts & Culture visited the 31-year-old artist from Kanye, he had just finished a big mural for a client. When the interview went underway, that is when the painter started doing his thing on another wall in the same neighborhood.
