'The Journey' explores different genres

Former Tselakgopo member Poifo Motladiile has used her Borankana background to come up with an intriguing album that fuses three genres at a go. Although the artist prefers to classify her album, ‘The Journey’ under the jazz category it tells a different story on its own. The album combines jazz, borankana , gospel sounds and a bit of soul.

Motladiile’s album offers that relaxed feel good vibe on a day one wants to take it easy.

The seven-tracked album boosts of Setswana filled lyrics with only the title track The Journey in English. The introduction song Mma Mokwetla has a commanding inviting feel that is complemented by the guitar strings and less vocals.
