Steak Money told Showbiz that he opted for Kwaito as it inspired him during his childhood and the only genre that he can express himself fully and better. “I released my first album entitled ‘Basimanyana Mamela Meropa’ in 2009 under Ruff Riddims; it was a mixture of Kwaito and House Kwasa. So this time around because I was working alone, I wanted to do something that is in my comfort zone, Kwaito so that I could express myself fully,” he said.
He said he has long loved music as he was always around musicians. He said he was a traditional music dancer at primary school and in the school choir at Lotsane Secondary School.
