Show organisers pledge to fulfill dreams

Briefing the media about the event, Dorcas Oboetswe said the show organisers, Weekend Trust and Papanyana Foundation have partnered to assist artists who are struggling to get a breakthrough in their music careers. Oboetswe stated that they have already assisted one upcoming artist, Gaone Mampane. She said this was after observing her desire to be a musician despite his struggles. “The Weekend Trust aims to give support and grow young talents. To save them from drugs and to help them with ways to make a living,” said Oboetswe.
Meanwhile, Papanyana Foundation secretary-general, Chris Sepeng, explained that their organisation assists with funding and growing young people’s dreams. This, he said is done in an endeavour to give them hope and encourage them to work hard in achieving their goals. Sepeng pleaded with the public to support the upcoming Gospel event, which would translate into helping young artists such as Mampane. Regarding preparations for the event, Sepeng explained that a few confirmed artists will be performing at the event like Daniel Olefile, Innocent and Platform Agopoleng. “Blessed is the hand that gives than the hand that receives,” said the co-leader of Bafana ba Sebesho, Toka Mathabe. Mathabe encouraged the public to come in large numbers to support this event to encourage and motivate Mampane to fulfill his dream. Mathabe further reiterated that the move would not only benefit Mampane but also other upcoming artists.
