Samantha Mogwe’s latest music offering is a true embodiment of her growth, maturity and creativity.

The talented singer officially premiered her extended airplay (EP) titled VII, on September 22, 2022. Prior to that, there was a listening session of the EP held at Avani Resort to take stakeholders on board about her new release. She said the title was inspired by the significance of the number seven which is a holy figure that represents completion or divine fulfillment. This eight track EP brings a striking and fun fusion of Neo-Soul/RnB, Afro-Beat and Trap-Soul.

Samantha Mogwe said the title VII is a holy number that often represents completion or divine fulfillment. “It is a powerful number that symbolises a person’s inner wisdom, self-awareness, and intuition. Biblically, seven is tied to the foundation of the Word of God and to the completion of His Creation,” she said. Samantha Mogwe added: “I chose this title for my EP because I felt like I have come full circle, learning new aspects of putting a body of work together, not being afraid to try out new things and having more creative control. I feel complete, almost as if it’s the beginning of something new, something spectacular and I cannot wait to see where this new season leads me”.
