Motlhaolosa Poetry Ensemble led by the legendary poet, Moroka Moreri hosted the first ever Setswana Poetry workshop at Limkokwing University on Saturday.

The workshop motivated poets to stand as one so as to learn and encourage each other.  Moreri stated that poets should not brag about being better than one another, but should rather teach and nourish each other’s talent. He said he wishes for poets to be taken more seriously by being part of each party’s manifesto and to be told how much money is allocated to them in the national development plan.

He further said that they wish for poets to have statues in the city so as to make children yearn to know who and what that person did to impact the arts and entertainment industry.
