In an interview with Showbiz, the 25-year-old said she realised that female inmates and ex-convicts did not have anyone to lend a shoulder to lean on, during and after serving their jail term. She said in instances where prisoners are given aid, it is mainly the male ones than their female counterparts.

“I would like the public to know that they are people like me and you. They are our sisters and mothers. Some of these convicts are not necessarily criminals as they may be wrongfully arrested while others regret their criminal acts,” she said.
