Motswana writer wins Kola award

Creative writer Sharon Tshipa has every reason to smile. The young Motswana lady’s short story titled “Like Little Ones Do” has been selected for publication in the Kola Magazine that will be launched on the 30th November during the Kola kids awards.

 The Kola award is an initiative of the African Street Writer,a Nigerian based online site that encourages creative writers from across Africa to submit their works that are in turn published on the site.Tshipa has won under the Short Story category alongside two other writer.

Tshipa said that the Kola awards are an initiative that targets stories on the African child.  She said the awards are meant to get stories that inspire African children across the continent.
