Music lovers will be treated to an enjoyable experience when popular Molapowabojang Recreational Park turns 22 on Saturday. South African group Teddy Bears and local rapper A.T.I. headline the event with other heavy weights such as Mapetla and DJ Sly billed to perform at the event.

The show will add to a series of events organised to mark the village’s centennial celebrations.  While the main event will be hosted at the village kgotla where multitudes are expected to converge, a good number is expected to attend the bash at the park.

Since the venue opened doors to patrons 22 years ago, it has been an entertainment spot of choice and over the years has developed from just a secluded joint into one of the best local entertainment venues with an open garden and a big stage. The park now has an accommodation wing.Apart from the usual Splash shows, the venue has also hosted legends such as Brenda Fassie, Cheek to Cheek, Zizi Congo, DJ Cleo, DJ Fresh (Thato Sikwane), Bujo Muju and William Mthethwa.
