Mister Gaborone vows to usher positive change

The newly-crowned Mister Gaborone, Jomo Kgaolo has pledged to bring a positive impact to the community. In an interview with Arts and Culture recently, Kgaolo, an employee of Botswana Post, said that he will be working with Mental Health and Gender Justice on a year long project where he will be engaging with prisoners.

He said during his reign, he would be regularly giving toiletry to prisoners and motivational talks. 

He said he decided to do this because he had realised that convicts are in most cases abandoned by their family members once they are detained in prisons and therefore feel unloved and lonely when serving their jail term.
