Miss Mahalapye vows to empower and motivate youth

Speaking during an interview with Showbiz recently, the queen who was able to outshine her 13 opponents last December, said she would like to empower and motivate the youth in Mahalapye to become better and responsible members of the society.
“I would like to help the youth of Mahalapye to recognise that they can use their talents to improve their lives. I believe that every person has a hidden talent. All they have to do is identify and use them in ways that could benefit them,” she said.
While it is widely acknowledged that Khama holds the title of Kgosi, the government’s failure to properly gazette his recognition has raised serious concerns about adherence to legal procedures and the credibility of traditional leadership.
