Marotswane to produce his debut album

With so many titles under his belt – rapper, producer, singer - Aubrey 'Tucx Beats' Marotswane is determined to make it big not only in Botswana but also the world.

Growing up in Gaborone Marotswane told Arts & Culture that he used to listen to radio recorded cassettes of American hip-hop.  This is when he got interested in the genre. The young lad fell in love with putting together songs and ended up growing up to be a producer and a singer.  “Although I was producing beats for people, I also produced beats for myself as I have the talent of rapping too,” he said.

He has been involved in music production for about six years now.  He has had the opportunity to collaborate with other South African artists in producing and featuring in their albums.
