Whilst the arts and entertainment sector has suffered due to COVID-19, for others the pandemic brought about an opportunity for them to work on new projects.

One of those who have been working behind closed doors is Kwaito sensation, Thabo ‘Mapetla’ Ntirang who has dropped a single, which he followed up with a music video. The single titled Thaba Tshweu, is an Afro-pop ditty with a touch of Kwaito produced by Martin Beats. In the song, Mapetla has gone all out to show his singing skills while also throwing in rap lines to urbanise it. 

According to Mapetla, the song, which is about someone expressing love to his admirer, shows his versatility as a musician.
