Maitisong Festival gives artists exposure

The just ended Maitisong Festival gave artists exposure and a platform of exhibiting their craft to a wide audience of different magnitudes including international artists.

Artists such as Oscar-winning actor Presley Chweneyagae from the movie Tsotsi, American poet Miles Hodges, South African percussionist Volley Nchabeleng and Zimbabwean spoken word artist Gerald ‘Synik’ Mugwenhi were some of the international acts that engaged with local acts for close to a week during the festival.

In an interesting move, local artist Lesego ‘Leshie Lovesong’ Nchunga staged a solid collaboration with South African percussionist, Nchabeleng on an exciting set during the Top Arts Presents Sunset production that was part of Maitisong Festival.
