Local traditional dance group, Mafitlhakgosi with their unmatched energy received Batlokwa Kgosi, Puso Gaborone and his wife Thandie Gaborone with an electrifying performance during the Molomo cultural event held at Tlokweng Kgotla on Saturday morning.

As the royal couple made the grand entrance to the venue, the excited group of different age groups sung, danced and played drums ushering them in. However, on the other end of the venue whilst the group mesmerised the crowd with their energetic performance, a local poet stole the lime light as he showered Kgosi Gaborone and wife with a praise poem. That momentous performance left the audiences lost for words and their excitement could clearly be seen in their eyes.

That was a start of a beautiful cultural event. It was just a tip in the iceberg as Mafitlhakgosi later on came for round two and treated the audiences to another beautiful performance. Also in their second performance, they were accompanied by a different poet of the 'Phoko Wee' fame, hence getting the nickname Phoko. Instead of having a ullulator, the gifted poet had Mafitlhakgosi as his ullulators. They cheered and played drums as the audiences cheered in approval. The poet continued praising the Kgosi, his wife, kgosi Gaborone's spokes person and a few dignitaries that graced the event.
