Even though both the Mochudi Centre Chiefs Football Club also known as Magosi Maaparankwe and the disco music stable Dalom Music have a huge fan base, the duo got a disappointment of a lifetime as only a handful of people attended the event. The event that was supposed to kick-start at 12noon ended up starting later. Most of the people that attended the event were either seated in their cars while a few decided to stick around near the stage. There was no performance up until 12midnight as the organisers were hopeful that people might pop in around that time from bars while some of Mochudi Centre Chiefs die-hard fans were expected to also come around since the team had a football match at Jwaneng that evening.
However, the performances were kick-started by young talented musician, Lioness Ratang. She and her dancers kept the few audiences entertained with a very beautiful performance. After her performance, the talented South African singer, Paige and her dancers who wore black and gold, also brought life to the event with a very beautiful performance. Since the night had died and morning time was approaching so fast, after one artist left the stage, the next one immediately got to the stage and did their magic. Despite the small crowd, the artists decided to deliver their best performances ever and that gave the gloomy venue life. The artists’ performances and the good sound system made up for the lost time as most of the audience that remained in the venue had to ensure hours of waiting for their favourite artists. Some of the artists that made the wee hours of Sunday morning interesting include Matshikos, Mr Brown, Dalom Kids, Peacock, Tafula Splash Band and many more.
Meanwhile, the low turn up of audiences turned out to be a very big loss to the stall owners who expected to make a lot of profits since they knew the hosts had a lot of following. However, some people who graced the event said they suspected that it made a loss due to the venue as it was not easily accessible.
