John Wick is a 2014 American action thriller film directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch. The former, Stahelski, is a renowned stunt performer in movies like the Expendebles, 300, The Matrix films and The Hunger Games epics. This explains why John Wick is way out this world with its hard-core combat action. The film has earned recognition as it got nominated for Best stunts at the 2014 Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards. Adding flavour to this action movie is the cast comprised of familiar faces. Keanu Reeves plays the lead role (John Wick) the retired hit man. Reeves made his mark in The Matrix film trilogy in the early 2000s. Co-starring alongside him is Michael Nyqvist who in this film portrays (Viggo Tarasov) a Russian Mafia leader. The film also stars William Defoe as Marcus the assassin. We all know Defoe from the original Spiderman as the green goblin.
