South-African-born internationally acclaimed designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee will also grace the Fashion Show

This year Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort has partnered with Fashion Without Borders (FWB)to showcase the works of Botswana’s most talented young designers.

This is their fifth annual fashion show and it will be held tonight under the theme ‘Ready to Wear’. One of the most talented young designers in Southern Africa, Nivaldo Thierry will be showcasing his latest collection at the event to give the showers a glimpse of what he has been working on. Thierry is from Mozambique. 

South African-born and internationally acclaimed designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee will also grace the fashion show as one of the headliners. 

During a press briefing recently,The Grand Palm’s Hospitality Marketing manager Neo Nkele said they were thrilled to be hosting a fashion show of this calibre and having some of the continent’s most well-known designers all on one stage. 


For his part, FWB creative director, Serge Kabisoso said his fashion show has stood the test of time, as they will be celebrating their five-year milestone in Botswana.

“We have looked at all possible fashion venues that can accommodate new dimensions they added to the show and The Grand Palm was the only place that fit our needs,” Kabisoso said. 

Standard tickets will be going for P250, VIP P500, the three-day standard tickets will be P500 while three-day VIP tickets will go for P1,000.

How can this be achieved when there already is little care about the working conditions of those within the private sector employ?For a long time, private sector employees have been neglected by their employers, not because they cannot do better to care for them, but because they take advantage of government's laxity when it comes to protecting and advocating for public sector employees, giving the cue to employers within the private sector...
