GIMC, a perfect limelight for artists

Local performing artists face everyday struggle in the industry and when big events such as the Gaborone International Music and Culture (GIMC) week approaches, it is always a good opportunity to use the limelight.

The weeklong event will cover various performing arts like music, theatre, poetry and comedy among others. The third installment of GIMC will run from August 27 to September 3 under the theme #GimcXperience.

GIMC 2016 is headlined by artists from South Africa; Jonathan Butler, Black Coffee, DJ Fresh, Lebo Mashile, Ricky Rik, Donald; Salvado from Uganda; Doc Vikela from Zimbabwe; and Botswana artists such as Sereetsi and The Natives, Botswana Ensemble, Skizo, KTM. A total number of 50 artists are expected to perform the event.
